I married my college sweetheart over 30 years ago. Kim is a great mom, intelligent and caring, and highly successful in her career. She is many things I am not, such as detail oriented and organized.
We have three kids. Our oldest son graduated from college this year with a degree in Neuroscience. He's investing the next year working for City Year in Denver, Colorado. Our second son is a Sophomore in college and is on the track team. Our daughter is in middle school.
We have more dogs and cats than I care to count.
We relish vacations every summer with our extended family, including Kim’s parents. 23 of us enjoy the week as one big family in a giant beach house. No one has been killed yet. We’ve done something right because the oldest kids talk about doing this same thing with their families.
I’m a native Kentuckian, and I speak Southern fluently.
I'm a serious UK Basketball fan. I regularly attended games from when Coach Rupp led the team through my college years.
I'm a graduate of Denison University, The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, and the Washington Campus.
I can remember back to when I was two years old and forward. I have hundreds of memories of people, places, pets, conversations, and things that were happening around me. Ask me about the "Slinky Incident," looking for Santa on the roof, and visiting my neighbors buck-naked - each of which happened while I was two and three years old.
I've shaken hands with Muhammad Ali, casuallly chatted with Walter Mathau before a day of filming for the movie Grumpier Old Men, and eaten dinner with astronaut Alan Shepard, who golfed on the moon.
I've taken my boys on the walk-down tour of the Washington Monument, and we later watched Marine One land to pick up President Bush while we visited the White House's Green Room.
I am a proud INTP on the Meyers-Briggs test. Most people when they first meet me believe I’m an extrovert, but I’m an introvert at heart. I’m a total N and total P, whereas Kim is a strong S and J. She completes me but isn't so sure I complete her.
If you’re familiar with Strengths Finder, my top five strengths are:
• Maximizer • Relator • Activator • Ideation • Strategic •
